This application "FlashClass" (the "App") is developed by Xi Haifeng ("we" or "us"). We take personal information seriously. The App is designed around the principle of "your data stays on your device." Please read this policy carefully before use.
Your study content stays on your device by default. Content you submit to AI is transmitted only after your explicit consent. The App contains no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking components. It does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps.
Subscriptions to the App are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. Payment information is handled by Apple; we never receive your name, payment account, or card details. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to iOS "Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions".
AI answers, flashcard drafts, grading, animations, classroom feedback and image redrawing are provided through our managed AI service. You do not supply an API key. Before your first upload, the App identifies the model provider and links its privacy policy, explains the data flow, and asks for your explicit permission. You may withdraw permission in “AI Service”; withdrawing permission prevents subsequent AI uploads without deleting your saved local content.
Content you choose to submit (text, question images, document pages, and student names and classroom performance when generating feedback) passes through our HTTPS service to the displayed model provider. Our service does not permanently store prompts or input images. Model results may be held in process memory for up to 10 minutes to support retries; no AI request or result content is written to the service database or persistent result cache. The model provider processes data under its own privacy policy. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Purchase and usage records: Our server verifies Apple-signed transactions and subscription status with Apple and stores the app identifier, transaction and subscription identifiers, purchase periods, subscription status, point grants, refunds, point deductions and request metadata. These records support billing, purchase restoration and duplicate-request prevention. AI data processing consent is stored locally on your device and is not restored from an old backup. Teacher and student app balances, and test and production balances, are separate.
Costs and usage: FlashClass AI is purchased using Apple In-App Purchase. Both monthly and annual plans allocate AI points monthly during the paid service period. Unused points accumulate without expiring and remain usable after cancellation or subscription expiry; no new points are allocated after the paid period ends. Refunded purchases have their associated points reversed. Input/output token rates, image redraw charges, monthly allocation and service provider information are shown in the App before use.
Generated content: Results are saved locally according to the feature you use. AI-generated educational content may be inaccurate; review it before use. Local editing, scanning and existing saved content do not require a new AI upload.
The browser casting feature transmits peer-to-peer within your local network; casted screens and text never pass through any server, and joining requires the pairing code for the session. For compatibility with networks that isolate devices from each other (such as some campus or corporate Wi-Fi), devices may attempt to request a public STUN service (such as the free services provided by Google or Tencent) when establishing a connection. That request is used only to learn the device's own network address for the connection; it transmits no casted content and contains no personally identifiable information.
The App is designed for education. When submitting student or minor information, share only what is necessary for the task and ensure you are permitted to share it. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking. If you believe related data has been mishandled, please contact us using the details below.
If this policy changes materially, we will announce it in the App and update the effective date.
